Ezyiah is an AI-powered tax guidance platform designed for tax professionals, business owners, and individual taxpayers in Australia. By accessing and using Ezyiah, you agree to comply with this Policy and all relevant Australian laws. Violations may result in account suspension or termination. Please read this Policy carefully.

1. Purpose of the Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure a secure, lawful, and respectful environment on the Ezyiah platform. It outlines acceptable and prohibited activities to maintain compliance with Australian regulations, including the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth), the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (Cth), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), and other relevant legislation.

  • Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Ezyiah platform, user accounts, or restricted areas is prohibited under the Cybercrime Act 2001 (Cth).
  • Malicious Software and Hacking: Uploading viruses, malware, or engaging in hacking activities contravenes the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
  • Spamming and Phishing: Sending unsolicited messages, phishing for user data, or using the platform for deceptive practices violates the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
  • Data Scraping and Unauthorized Use: Automated data scraping or extraction without explicit permission is a breach of intellectual property rights under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

4. Non-Commercial Use

Unless explicitly authorized by Ezyiah, the platform is intended for personal and professional use only.

  • Prohibited Commercial Use: Reselling, leasing, or sublicensing access to the platform, or using it for unauthorized data analysis or competitive purposes, violates the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

5. Security and Privacy Compliance

Ezyiah is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Users must:

  • Protect Personal Data: You must not attempt to access or collect personal data of others without their consent, as this breaches privacy laws.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Users must keep their login credentials secure. Unauthorized sharing of account details or access is prohibited.

6. Intellectual Property Infringement

All content on Ezyiah is protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

  • Infringement Prohibited: Copying, distributing, or modifying Ezyiah’s software, content, or features without authorization is a breach of intellectual property rights.
  • User Content: Users retain ownership of their uploaded content but grant Ezyiah a license to use the data as necessary for service delivery.

7. Platform Integrity

Maintaining the stability and integrity of Ezyiah is essential:

  • System Interference: Users must not interfere with the platform’s operation or attempt to disrupt its functionality. Violations may be reported to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).
  • Fair Usage: Excessive or unreasonable use that impacts the platform’s performance may result in restrictions or suspension.
